Havant RFC Mini Tour to North Wales
3rd – 6th April 2009
Dear Fellow Tourists
We invite you all players and families to join us for the mini
tour to North Wales next year For those of you who have
experienced the delights of the annual mini rugby tour, you will
need no persuading to join the tour this time, which will be as
fun packed as usual with rugby, social events and of course the
now famous or should I say infamous ‘court sessions’.
For those of you new to touring this is an excellent opportunity
to have fun, get to know other people in the club through
extreme socialising and to experience the joy of playing rugby
in Wales.
The rugby tour involves taking part in a 2 day mini festival
organised by Sports Tours limited with 3 nights self catering
accommodation at the Lyons Robin Hood Holiday Centre. The
planned itinerary is as follows:
Friday 3rd April:
Travel to North Wales check in time at the holiday park where
all the festival teams are staying is from 4pm. You will be
allocated passes so you can access all the park entertainment
including swimming pool complex. The plan is to hold a tour
welcome in the evening, details to follow.
Saturday and Sunday 4th and 5th April
Participate during the day in the mini festival organised by
Sports Tours, playing other touring teams from Wales and beyond
with finals and semi finals in each age group taking place on
the Sunday. On Sunday evening there will be a presentation
ceremony back at the holiday park (all players will get a medal)

you are free to enjoy the facilities of the caravan park or the
local nearby resorts of Prestatyn and Rhyl.
Monday 6th April
Check out of accommodation at 10am but you can to use the
facilities of the caravan park for the rest of the day or why
not explore a little more of the North Wales countryside Colywn
Bay, Llandudno and Conwy with its ancient castle are all a short
drive away.
Accommodation
We will be staying at the Lyons Robin Hood Holiday Centre which
is located alongside the seafront between the two popular
holiday resorts of Prestatyn and Rhyl. . Everything for a fun
packed weekend is catered for with a choice of bars, cabaret
lounge, family leisure complex, kiddies play area, amusements,
tenpin bowling, indoor heated swimming pool with sauna & Jacuzzi
to keep everyone busy. All holiday homes are modern, have two or
three bedrooms, comfortable lounge with sofa/bed, dining area
with colour TV, kitchenette, bathroom with shower & WC. Gas,
electricity, sheets & pillows are included. Details on their

Cost
Cost per player including tournament registration fees is £90
Cost for everyone else will be £75 assuming full occupancy of
caravans. (There will be a small surcharge for under occupancy.)
If there are only a couple of you travelling, you can of course
still come but may want to share a caravan with another friendly
couple. Maximum occupancy per caravan is either 6 or 8 people.
Tour t-shirts and first night social are optional extra costs,
details at a later date.
Payment
We need a non refundable deposit of £25 per person, preferably
cheques, made payable to HRFC M&J by Sunday 26th October 2008.
Please complete and bring with you the enclosed booking form. We
will be taking bookings in the club house on 12th and final
bookings on 26th October in the club after training. The
remaining balance will need to be paid by the end of January.
